THE ROUTES

By combining some of the best (and challenging) trails of the annual Ride2Nowhere event (3 Day MTB Stage Race), riders can experience the beautiful and proper mountain biking terrain all in one day that McGregor has to offer.

EPIC CHALLENGE

The Race2Nowhere follows a combination of trails that was developed, over the last seven years, for the Ride2Nowere, 3 day stage race. The Race was started as a test ride for Cape Epic 2018, Stage 1, that followed a large portion of this route. With 2550m of ascent over the 112km, the course is no pushover!

The bulk of the climbing is in the first 35km, mostly on jeep track, crossing the two biggest climbs, Takkap and Skuilkrans. The rest of the route is filed with exciting riding and plenty single track. There is an option to go over onto the short course, cutting the distance down to 90km

MINI EPIC CHALLENGE

The short route covers 65km of 1500m of ascent. This includes the two big climbs of the Epic Challenge route with spectacular views and remoteness Skuilkrans has to offer.

The riding is non manicured, pure mountain biking! Although the route follows mostly jeep track, these tracks seldom get used by cars, but have been shaped for mountain biking over the last seven years.
